Pupils and Staff from The De Costa Academy are heavily involved in events and concerts across Yorkshire and beyond. The Academy hosts its own events, and many pupils take leading roles in local theatre performances (both opera and musical theatre), as well as performing in oratorios, solo recitals and at weddings and funerals.

Opera Gala

Merry Christmas!: De Costa Academy Concert and Social

Michael De Costa, Andrea Campbell-Mapplebeck and Derek Thomson present a hour of popular music from opera, musical theatre, and seasonal favourites. Following this, refreshments will be provided and other students of the Academy are invited to bring along a song to perform during the course of the evening.

Ben Pieper is the tenor soloist in the world premiere of the revised version Martin Emslie's new oratorio, Omega & Alpha. In aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
